Dave Isay is the founder of StoryCorps and the recipient of numerous broadcasting honors, including six Peabody Awards and a MacArthur "Genius" Fellowship. Isay's presentation on the power of listening and the history of StoryCorps begins at 8pm in the Schuster Center's Mathile Theatre on Friday, June 21. Join in the lobby following the presentation for dessert and a book signing.

The Miami Valley Council for Native Americans 25th Annual Keeping The Tradition Pow Wow, Saturday, June 22, 11:00a.m. - 8:30 p.m. and  Sunday, June 23, 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.  The serene setting at SunWatch transforms with the beat of drums and the sounds and rhythm of American Indian music.  For American Indians, Pow Wow is a special time to reflect upon a rich heritage and come into the Pow Wow circle with honor and respect for one another and the drum. 

All Aboard for the 8th Annual Rail Festival June 22 & 23, at Carillon Park.  Join Dayton History and the Carillon Park Rail and Steam Society for the 8th Annual Carillon Park Rail Festival.

The Dayton World Refugee Celebration will be held Sunday, June 23, 3:00 to 7:00pm at Dayton View Park on N. Broadway Street at Superior Avenue. Dayton City Commissioner Matt Joseph will give a welcoming address. Two officers will be representing the Dayton Police Department. Dayton View Park has a shelter, restrooms, two sets of playground equipment, swings, slides, etc, two basketball courts, and an open field good for kicking around a soccer ball or two.

Local poet David Garrison is having a poetry reading and book signing on Sunday, June 23, 8:00pm at the Ghostlight Coffee Shop.
