Springfield Civic Theatre will perform excepts from upcoming shows and preview our 2026-27 season during the Season Sampler from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, in the Clubhouse on the Masonic Home campus. Anyone is welcome to this free event. Refreshments will be served.

The shows planned for next season are "The Wiz," directed by Debbie Blunden-Diggs, Sept. 17-19; "The Laramie Project," directed by Lorrie Sparrow-Knapp, Nov. 12-14; "Under S for Sucker," an original play by Peggy Hanna directed by Rebecca Baker, March 4-6, 2027; and "Be More Chill," directed by Ryan Ramirez, May13-15, 2027. All performances will be in the John Legend Theater.
