The University of Dayton Radial Gallery is excited to present Pause and Progress: Artistic Processes Amidst a Pandemic opening August 23rd and running through September 21st, 2021! Pause and Progress presents a short term experimental project featuring faculty from University of Dayton’s Department of Art and Design who have recently returned from sabbatical. Artists Erin Holscher Almazan, R. Darden Bradshaw and Glenna Jennings, will transform Radial gallery into a facsimile of their studios where they conducted their research during the pandemic. As an active installation viewers will be able to see works grow out of the process in real time as the artists create new works on site of their personal work as well as some commissioned pieces. To bring these studio processes to life, UD’s Department of Art and Design also invites you to a public reception September 9th from 5-7pm at Radial Gallery located in Fitz Hall on the second floor. Regular gallery hours are 9-4pm M-Th and 9-2 Friday.

The University of Dayton Radial Gallery is located in the Department of Art and Design on the second floor of Fitz Hall across from the main office of the department. Due to COVID-19 restrictions all visitors are required to wear masks, regardless of vaccination status. Visitors may obtain a parking pass from a greeter in the main entrance September 9th during the reception, outside the reception hours, visitors may get a parking pass from the parking attendant at the main entrance of Fitz Hall.
