What's Great in Dayton: May 8 - 14, 2020

The Contemporary Dayton
https://www.facebook.com/thecontemporarydayton
The Contemporary Dayton will host an online exhibition Friday.

May is National Bike Month and Five Rivers MetroParks is hosting the Virtual Bike Month. It includes video bike clinics and tours, weekly rides, Bingo, challenges and more all month.

This evening The Contemporary Dayton are presenting an exclusive online exhibition at 5pm featuring a sculptor, a printmaker, and a painter.

CARE Walk 2020 is totally different. Usually they have an organized fundraising walk to support cancer survivors. But now they want you to walk anytime, anywhere, independently in honor and support of a loved one. Wear anything pink to spread awareness about the importance of early detection when it comes to breast health.

We have all heard about being six feet apart, and now there are four people who do a "Six Feet Apart" concert in Oakwood. They have been doing this for 3 or 4 Saturdays, and they told me they are playing again on Saturday (weather permitting) at 2pm. There is no Facebook, no website, AND no cost….just stroll over at the corner of East Dixon Avenue and Shafor Boulevard and listen to them play.

Go to daytonperformingarts.org/at-home and then click on The Dayton Philharmonic, the Dayton Ballet, and the Dayton Opera. They have activities you can so …..At Home!

Each Friday Dayton Live posts a new video on their Facebook page.
