What's Great in Dayton: February 23 - March 1, 2018
The Dayton Auto Show is today until 9pm, Saturday 10am to 9pm and Sunday 10am to 6pm. This is at the Dayton Convention Center.
Quest is a powerful documentary filmed over the course of a decade and is the moving portrait of the Rainey family living in North Philadelphia. This movie is Saturday, noon, at The Neon and it is a fundraiser for The Junior Leaguers Club of Dayton. They are providing scholarships for local graduating high school seniors. You go to see this film, get a glass of wine or soft drink and some popcorn.
Dayton History Fight Night is a 1920s-themed charity boxing exhibition at historic Memorial Hall. And all proceeds benefit Dayton History. Wine, beer, and soft drinks are served throughout the night. After the final bell has tolled, the Speakeasy After Party starts swinging. It is featuring a full-service bar and live entertainment, you can mingle with the fighters and dance the night away. Saturday, 7pm to midnight.
The sound of music fills the theater at Dayton Masonic Center with the most beloved tunes from the writing team that ushered in the "golden age" of musical theater. This special concert style production features the entire Miami Valley Symphony Orchestra along with a grand scale chorus and soloists performing hits from Carousel, South Pacific, Oklahoma!, and more! This is Saturday, at 7pm and Sunday at 3pm.
At the Hayner Center in Troy is a fun hands-on ukulele workshop followed by a concert with Jim McCutcheon and Larry Marra. This is Saturday, 6:30pm.
