FutureFest is the 26th annual festival of six original plays, each performed once, and adjudicated by theatre professionals from across the USA. It starts tonight at 8 PM and concludes Sunday.
Dayton History's Old Case Files courtroom drama is now open. The murder trial reenactment is the 1896 case of Albert Frantz who is accused of shooting his lover. You will learn what law and order was like in our city at the turn of the 20th century. This is an interactive courtroom drama at the Old Montgomery County Court House and it is tonight, Saturday and Sunday for three weekends.
The Funk Music Hall of Fame & Exhibition Center is presenting Greg Webster, the last living original member from the Dayton Untouchables/Ohio Players. Come meet him on Saturday from 3:00to 6:00pm at the new Dayton Metro Northwest Library. Greg Webster has written a book entitled: "The Early Years of The Ohio Players" where he tells about his journey of being with the group in the beginning of its success.
While it is hot outside it is a cool summer at The Dayton Art Institute as they now have The Antarctic Sublime & Elements of Nature: Water. It presents large scale photography, cutting-edge video art, and a display of 450 mechanized, interactive penguins that are sure to delight everyone. The special exhibitions is now open and will be there through October.
WYSO, right here, and the The Wellness Center at Antioch College are partnering on a day of no cost family fun. This is on Sunday from noon-5pm. The two organizations will hold a joint-open at their locations on Antioch College's campus.
