CMYS.org

The San Francisco-based string quartet Telegraph Quartet will be traveling to Yellow Springs this weekend. This Sunday, as part of Chamber Music Yellow Springs' 2021-2022 concert season, the Bay Area ensemble will present their program "War and Peace," featuring three works for string quartet composed in the aftermath of World War II. Violinist Joseph Maile spoke with Excursions host Evan Miller ahead of the group's performance, detailing the featured works, and the show's hybrid in-person/live stream presentation.

The Telegraph Quartet presents their program "War and Peace" as part of Chamber Music Yellow Springs's 2021-2022 concert series this Sunday at 4 PM, both in-person at First Presbyterian Church in Yellow Springs, and online via live stream. More information can be found at CMYS.org.

Evan Miller is a percussionist, lover of sound, and is probably buying too many cassette tapes online right now. Evan got his start in radio in 2012 at WWSU at Wright State University, where he was studying percussion performance. He followed through with both endeavors and eventually landed a lucrative dual career playing experimental music at home and abroad, and broadcasting those sounds to unsuspecting listeners Sunday nights on The Outside. Maintaining a connection to normal music, Evan also plays drums in bands around the area, and hosts WYSO's Midday Music show. When not doing something music-related, Evan is most likely listening to podcasts or watching food videos at home with his cat.
