What's Great In Dayton: September 3 - 9, 2021
Charlie Campbell's picks for what to do and see this week in the Miami Valley.
Tonight is First Friday and there is a lot to do in Downtown Dayton.
One area to check out tonight is Front Street - so many artists are there this evening.
And if you want an evening of music by students and faculty from the University of Dayton’s Department of Music, go to the Levitt Pavilion. It’s the UD Faculty Brass Quintet, the Faculty Jazztet, Jim McCutcheon on his guitar, the UD Trumpet Ensemble Pride of Dayton Marching Band and more. It’s tonight at 7pm.
On Saturday at the Neon Movies there's a Family Film. Tickets are given on a first-come, first-serve basis and it’s a chance for families to enjoy the movie-going experience together. There is no cost and it's at 11am.
If you want all kinds of fresh local foods then head to The Second Street Market. On Saturday, it’s 8am to 3pm, and Sundays from 11am to 3pm.
At the Aullwood Farm and Nature Center you can explore their eight miles of trails, meet their animals, look for native birds and butterflies. On Sunday, from 1 to 5pm there is no cost.
Happy Labor Day weekend,
