What's Great In Dayton: August 6 - 12, 2021
Saturday is Art in the City in downtown Dayton. The full day include a variety of Dayton’s best artistic talent, from painting and drawing to spoken word poetry and dance. There are live performances, live demonstrations, hands-on activities, interactive classes, a local artisan market and a Juried Art Show. It begins at 11am and I'll be playing my accordion from 11 to 1pm.
Also on Saturday is Mike's Block Party with live DJs, food trucks, an outdoor market, and much more fun in the sun! It’s in the dock area in front of Mike's Bike Park and features artists of all kinds, local vendors, great food trucks, beer, and more! The stage is sponsored by WYSO Public Radio. Go there from 5 to 9pm.
Both tonight and Saturday there are bands playing at Levitt Pavilion. Dayton. There is no cost for this….but you do need to bring a blanket or a chair. It’s at 7pm and to see who is playing go to: levittdayton.org
The Second Street Market is back to business on Saturday. Both inside and out there are all kinds of fresh local foods from 8am to 3pm.
At the Neon Movies there are Family Films on Saturday mornings. Tickets are given on a first-come, first-serve basis. This is a chance for families to enjoy the movie-going experience together and keep kids thoughtfully engaged. There is no cost and it's at 11am.
United Rehabilitation Services has announced their 18th Annual URS Rubber Duck Regatta, and now's the time to adopt your ducks for a chance to win great prizes!
