This performance is part of the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance's 2020-2021 "Reimagined Season."

The next event for this season with Dayton Performing Arts Alliance celebrates music from one of the most-renowned American film composers, John Williams. Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra's Artistic Director and Conductor Neal Gittleman spoke with Evan Miller on WYSO's Excursions on what audiences can expect to hear this Saturday night, as well as how you can experience this hybrid in-person/live-streamed event.

The Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, led by Artistic Director and Conductor Neal Gittleman, presents "The Best of John Williams: Music from Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Superman, and More!" this Saturday night at Benjamin and Marian Schuster Hall in Dayton, or via live stream, at 6:30 and 8:00 PM. More information can be found at daytonperformingarts.org or (937) 228-3630.

Evan Miller is a percussionist, lover of sound, and is probably buying too many cassette tapes online right now. Evan got his start in radio in 2012 at WWSU at Wright State University, where he was studying percussion performance. He followed through with both endeavors and eventually landed a lucrative dual career playing experimental music at home and abroad, and broadcasting those sounds to unsuspecting listeners Sunday nights on The Outside. Maintaining a connection to normal music, Evan also plays drums in bands, and hosts WYSO's weekday music show Excursions. When not doing something music-related, Evan is most likely listening to podcasts or watching food videos at home with his cat.
