Ruby Nicholson and Jane Scott

"To my way of thinking, that leaf, and people, and animals all deteriorate and become dust to keep creation a'goin' and I think creation is happening all the time."

Ruby Wells Nicholson has led a long and full life.  Born in Kentucky, her father was a farmer and a salesman. She describes her mother as energetic. Ruby survived the Great Flu Epidemic as child, and later in life she encouraged her children and grandchildren to be good citizens.

In the StoryCorps booth, Ruby and her daughter – Jane Scott – share childhood memories, and the blessings life has brought them.
