Raducan tested positive for a banned drug after she won the women's all-around gymnastic competition, and the IOC stripped her of her medal. She appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport on the basis that she had been taking a cold medication on the advice of the Romanian team doctor, but the court stood by the IOC's decision.
