CareSource Director To Speak At TEDxDayton Event

Jerry Kenney

On WYSO Weekend, we’ve been introducing you to some of the speakers at this year’s TEDxDayton conference. It happens October 16th at the Victoria Theatre, and we're giving you a small taste of who some of the speakers are and what they plan to talk about. Today you’ll meet Karin VanZant.

Karin is Executive Director of Life Services at CareSource in Dayton and has been charged with building a new division that will transition current Medicaid members off of government subsidies and into a high quality life. Changing quality of life is something Karin has experienced in her own life. Today, she shares her story with us and how it relates to what she’ll talk to TEDx audiences about on the 16th.

If you’ve ever checked out TED Talks on Youtube or TED.com, you know it’s an event that features a series of dynamic speakers on a wide variety of subjects—Ideas Worth Spreading. TED Talks has generated big audiences, and cities around the country, including Dayton, have spun off their own events in recent years. This year’s TEDxDayton conference will feature live local speakers looking to spark deep discussion and create connections among local audiences.
