WYSO Weekend: January 5, 2014

In this edition of WYSO Weekend:

  •  OPR reports on the debate of arming educators after the Sandy Hook tragedy, and something a little lighter - Drag Tupperware.
  • Commnity Voices producer Amerlia Robinson helps tell the story of Dayton native Jordon Anderson - who escaped slavery in the early 1800's. After the Civil War, the owner of the plantation where Jordon escaped from, was upset that the run-away slave didn't come back to help the plantation, which was in disrepair!
  • Bill Felker has this week's Poor Will's Miami Valley Almanack.
  • WYSO News Director Emily McCord speks with Ohio Public Radio's Bill Cohen and current events for Governor Kasich's office.
