Robert Jordan made his only appearance on the program in 2003 when he came through the area to publicize the tenth book in his blockbuster fantasy series "The Wheel of Time." The series has sold in the millions and in this interview Jordan revealed that he was essentially a workaholic; he wrote ten hours a day, seven days a week. He rarely took any days off. He was enthusiastic about finishing the final books in the series but that was not meant to be. Jordan died a few years after this interview. Ultimately the series was completed by Brandon Sanderson.
