WYSO Today brings you news and weather for Dayton and Southwest Ohio. An effort to destroy toxic firefighting foam is moving into another phase; a new poll shows a close race for Ohio governor but not so close for Ohio's U.S. senator; and a new form is required for those who wish to change the gender that's shown on their driver's license which some say is a sudden and cumbersome change.

A chance meeting with a volunteer in a college computer lab in 1987 brought Mike Frazier to WYSO. He is a lifelong Daytonian and the host of Morning Edition.
