SNAP is a federal program that provides food benefits to low-income families and seniors to supplement their grocery budget. States including Ohio will soon have to pay for some of the costs of administering SNAP that's based on their error rate.

WYSO Today brings you news and weather for Dayton and Southwest Ohio, including Ohio taking on some of the costs of administering SNAP food benefits, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine reacts to a news story about a police visit to Democratic candidate for governor Amy Acton's home, and an upcoming town hall will update a local market's transition to a co-op grocery store.

A chance meeting with a volunteer in a college computer lab in 1987 brought Mike Frazier to WYSO. He is a lifelong Daytonian and the host of Morning Edition.
