African Children's Choir will offer a concert tonight at Covenant Presbyterian Church, Springfield at 7:00pm. Come and experience a performance that shows the beauty, dignity and potential of each African child! The African Children's Choir melts the hearts of audiences with their charming smiles, beautiful voices and lively African songs and dance.
Come celebrate Black History Month with a free presentation of Dunbar's poem, "We Wear the Mask," Saturday, 2:00pm at the Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center. You will also be able to create your own mask. The life of Dayton's native son is remembered at two Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Parksites: the Paul Laurence Dunbar State Memorial, located at 219 North Paul Laurence Dunbar Street, and the Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center, located at 16 South Williams Street.
The National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center in Wilberforce, Ohio, has re-opened its doors. It features a new installation, How I Got Over It which is a mixed-media exhibit that reflects the African American experience and focuses on three themes: celebration, spirituality and protest.
