This Scene Kills Fascism: A Night of Protest Music, Art, & Community
Taking inspiration from the spirit of Woody Guthrie and the artist-led protest movements of the 60’s and 70’s, @ninjajamrecords and @midwestfriendsfest are proud to present This Scene Kills Fascists on Thursday, April 30, a one-night event at Woodward Theater featuring 16 musicians from Dayton, Cincinnati, and Northern Kentucky, all performing songs of protest and singing truth to power.
There’s strength in community. Art and music are timeless forms of protest. We’ll be memorializing the night by capturing audio and video of each musicians’ performance - one protest song cover, and one original protest song. We’re also inviting a variety of artists and community organizations to join us, so that you can learn more about what’s happening in your communities, and how you can get involved.
Tickets are on sale now, with proceeds benefiting Freestore Foodbank. We hope you’ll join us for a night of music, art, and community.
