Special Anniversary Worship and Concert Featuring Wilberforce University Chorus

Dayton, Ohio – Peoples Community CME Church will celebrate its 77th Anniversary with a weekend of worship and music, honoring more than seven decades of ministry and service in the Dayton community. The theme: Here by Faith, Pressing Forward With Purpose.

The celebration will take place at Peoples Community CME Church, 2525 N. Gettysburg Avenue, Dayton, OH 45406, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Kenneth Jones, Pastor.

Highlights of the anniversary include:.
• 77th Anniversary Concert – On Saturday, September 27, at 4:00 p.m., the celebrated Wilberforce University Chorus will perform in concert at the church.
• 77th Anniversary Worship Service – On Sunday, September 28, at 11:00 a.m. A special service of thanksgiving to honor the church’s legacy and future with guest speaker Dr. Vann Newkirk, President, Wilberforce University and more music from Wilberforce University Chorus.

“This anniversary is not only about looking back at our history, but about looking forward to what God has called us to do,” said Rev. Dr. Kenneth Jones. “We are committed to continuing our mission of faith, fellowship, and service to the Dayton community.”

The public is invited to attend both the concert and worship service. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
