Far Hills Speaker Series: Beyond the Playhouse

Local expert Doug Gabriel discusses the role of the Dayton Project in the founding of the Mound Laboratory.

Who knew that what started with Polonium in the Playhouse, better known as the Dayton Project, would give Oakwood a key role in the United States missions to Mars and beyond?

Learn more about this riveting piece of local history at the next Far Hills Speaker Series program at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18th at Wright Memorial Public Library.

Doug Gabriel, a former employee of the Mound Laboratory and current President of the Board of Directors for the Mound Science and Energy Museum Association, will address the role of the Dayton Project in the founding of Mound Laboratory, the technology for deep space exploration, and the evolution of the missions and Mounds-related capabilities.
