2025 Garden Champion Training Program

We are excited to invite you to a unique opportunity to strengthen and enhance the impact of your community garden through the Garden Champion Training program! This series of four informative sessions is designed to support and empower garden leaders like you, helping you take your garden to the next level.
Program Details:
• Location: Clark County OSU Extension Office, 3130 E Main Street, Springfield, OH 45505
• Dates & Times:
o April 7: Food Safety
o April 17: Garden Best Practices
o May 1: First Aid (Mental and Physical)
o May 15: Community Engagement
o Time: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM each day

This program is open to all organized community gardens at no cost. Each garden is required to have at least one representative attend each session, and there is flexibility to send any team member.
Bonus Opportunity:
Gardens that have a representative attend all four sessions will be awarded a $250 grant from the Clark County Local Foods Council to support their garden efforts!
Additional Information:
• Light refreshments will be provided at each session.
