Today is first Friday in downtown Dayton….and if you want to go there, with your mask, there are lots of things to check out. There is also many “virtual” things to check out too.
Jim Smith is a jazz guitar leading figure in Ohio and when he plays it’s everything of the swing, bebop, and modern music. St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Oakwood is now doing these Music Meditations on Sunday 9 to 9:30am.
Downtown Dayton’s first floor businesses are the lifeblood of downtown community. They have a Retail Lab and are inviting business owners to advance their first floor concept through a series of workshops, pitch events, and pop-up opportunities. Each program connects participants to new mentors, experts, ideas, capital and resources that will help the businesses thrive. They are now accepting applications.
The B-W Greenway Community Land Trust has nearly 500 acres of permanently preserved including some of our area's finest natural treasures. The "B" represents the Beaver Creek Wetlands and the "W" represents the Estel Wenrick Wetlands.
While there is no music yet at the the Levitt Pavilion in downtown Dayton, there is now a completed mural featuring a poem by Sierra Leone.
The Five Rivers MetroParks has a Trails Challenge. It’s a fun way to explore the hundreds of miles of paved trails, natural surface trails, and waterways throughout our area.
