If you want to get your first look at the University of Dayton basketball teams go to the UD Arena on Saturday.

Charlie Campbell's picks for what to do and see this week in the Miami Valley.

Dayton Theatre Guild's show is Women in Jeopardy. Divorcees Mary and Jo are suspicious of their friend Liz's new boyfriend who is just plain creepy. This is tonight, Saturday, and Sunday.

The Dream of the Burning Boy is a play at the PNC Arts Annex. This is searing yet surprisingly funny about finding the strength to move on... and the courage to live without regret. It deals with death and grief and is available now through October 31.

The Human Race Theatre now has AIRNESS...an air guitar competition. It's a comedy about competition, completion, and finding the “airness” inside yourself. Now through November 7.

Dayton Opera launches its season with the lighthearted romantic comedy The Elixir of Love. It's a dazzling jewel that proves true love is the most powerful potion of all. Tomorrow and Sunday at the Schuster.

On Sunday if you have an animal you would like to be blessed go to St. Paul's Church in Oakwood at 11am. It's outside (weather permitting) and it’s their BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS.

And on Sunday afternoon in the downtown Dayton Oregon District is Dia De Muertos (Day of the Dead). It’s a parade, celebration, and other activities all outdoors. Noon to 6pm.

The frost will be on the pumpkin pretty soon…
