The 16th Annual Chocolate Festivalis at the new Montgomery County Fairgrounds. It is family friendly, with live radio broadcasts, entertainment, food, door prizes, and the kaleidoscope radio shows with Bill Nance & Melody Morris. And lots of Chocolate!!!!!  There is no cost and it is on Saturday, 10am to 5pm.

Calling all local superheroes! The SuburbiCon: Comic Art Expo, is the place to be for comic book enthusiasts. The event is Saturday, 10am to 5pm at Trent Arena in Kettering.

Enjoy an afternoon of autumn activities. Tour the home of early 19th-century U.S. Indian Agent John Johnston, visit the Historic Indian & Canal Museum and explore the old Miami & Erie Canal on one of two rides aboard the canal boat. This is the Fall Celebration at the Johnston Farm and it is Saturday, Noon to 5pm.

Explore the active side of Dayton with the whole family at Five Rivers MetroParks 2018 Wagner Subaru Outdoor Experience. This features two days of outdoor adventure at Eastwood MetroPark on Saturday from 11am to 10pm, and Sunday, 11am to 4pm. There is no cost for admission and parking.

Attending a solar open house is a great way to learn about solar energy. Five local sites in Dayton, Oakwood, and Germantown can be toured on either Saturday or Sunday. St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Oakwood celebrates the Feast of St. Francis with an outdoor worship service that culminats in the blessing of all animals in attendance, and those remembered with photographs. Feel free to attend with your pet(s). Each animal will be blessed by Fr. John. (In case of rain, this event will be held in the Parish Hall.) Sunday 10:30am.
