Ten Ohio veterans found at funeral home are buried

The remains of 10 Ohio veterans found in a funeral home basement last year have been buried with full military honors.

The name of each veteran was read at Tuesday's ceremony at Dayton National Cemetery. The burial included a rifle salute and the playing of taps. Each veteran has a military-issued grave marker.

The men were identified at a Columbus funeral home by the Ohio chapter of the Missing in America Project. The national group helps find and bury unclaimed veterans' remains around the country.

Members of the American Legion Riders led an escort from Columbus to the cemetery about 75 miles away.

Columbus resident Reisa Kersting participated in the escort. The 45-year-old says she's pleased that people could come together to show their gratitude and respect.
