The Midwest Outdoor Experience Takes Place This Weekend, Oct. 5-6.

The Midwest Outdoor experience kicks off today, Oct. 5th, at 6:00pm, and will last until tomorrow night, Oct. 6th, at Eastwood Metropark.  Teamed with Dayton Music Festival and vendors from around the country, this year's event is expected to draw a larger crowd than in recent years.

This year's event will provide activities for the whole family icluding: camping, fly fishing, climbing, slacklining, IMBA bike village, geocaching, and disc golf. There will also be a 5k run taking place this evening. More experienced athletes can compete in any of the competitions.

A list of bands including BJSR, Ashley Martin, Magic Jackson, and many others are set to hit the stage.

There will also be activities for pets as well including a no-leash dog park. The Subaru Ultimate Air Dogs will be performing during the event.

Special events coordinator, Tom Helbig, called into Excursions and spoke with Niki Dakota about the event. The event will take place during rain or shine. For more information about the Midwest Outdoor Experience visit on the web at www.Outdoorx.org
