Book Nook: Wrecked, by Joe Ide

Joe Ide just published his third book in a series that features his ghetto Sherlock Holmes character Isaiah Quintabe AKA I.Q. I have had Joe on the program for all three books and it has really been a pleasure to see the development of this character and the author's rising profile in the crime fiction genre.

In this one I.Q. and his sidekick Dodson take on a gang of former soldiers who have become sadists during the time they served in Iraq where they tortured prisoners under the supervision of a rogue CIA agent who is still their boss now that they are no longer in the service. Someone has threatened to release incriminating evidence of the torture they perpetrated and they will do anything and kill anyone to try to prevent that from happening. Now I.Q. and Dodson have gotten involved in this scenario and readers should prepare for the most sizzling action yet in this series.

The Book Nook on WYSO is presented by the Greene County Public Library with additional support from Washington-Centerville Public Library,  Clark County Public LibraryDayton Metro LibraryWright Memorial Public Library, and Microsun Lamps.
