Volunteers Amplify WYSO’s Community Connections

You’ve probably tuned your radio (or cellular device) to 91.3 FM and heard at some point: “WYSO, listener-supported and community-owned.” While a good chunk of that listener support manifests as very important dollars for your local independent radio station, WYSO thrives because of the donated time of our many volunteers. And while it’s true WYSO is community-owned through our Membership program, true ownership begins and ends with community involvement in all we do. When you volunteer with WYSO, you can:

  • Help facilitate our Membership Drives by answering phones and taking donations
  • Pack thank you letters, gifts, and other mailings for Members
  • Represent WYSO at community events and festivals
  • Help with on-site special events at our new home, Union Schoolhouse in Yellow Springs

Have a special or professional skill you want to share with WYSO?

An in-kind donation is one in which time and professional skills are donated to an organization in place of a cash donation. If you have a professional skill (professional copy writing experience, for example) and would like to donate your time, reach out to us and we’ll do our best to find a spot for you. There may not always be opportunities available.
