The Eichelberger Center for Community Voices at WYSO
What is Community Voices?
Community Voices is all about getting local voices on the air. We give local voices the time and space to tell their own stories, in their own words, without commercial interruptions. We help local people record essays, poems and commentaries. We work with public school teachers who want to bring radio into their classrooms. We collect oral histories. In the spring of 2011, we launched a training program to teach listeners how to produce radio stories.
Today, all our radio training is generously supported by the Eichelberger Foundation and happens at the Eichelberger Center for Community Voices at WYSO.
