The Springfield Symphony is adding a new ensemble to their lineup: The Springfield Symphony Jazz Orchestra, directed by Todd Stoll. Stoll, along with pianist Isaiah J. Thompson, came to WYSO's Excursions to talk with Evan Miller and guest host Duante Beddingfield of WYSO's Equinox about their new emsemble, some jazz history, and their upcoming inaugural performance, Big Band Royalty: The Count Meets The Duke.

The Springfield Symphony Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of Todd Stoll, will present Big Band Royalty: The Count Meets The Duke at 7:30PM on Saturday, November 2 at the John Legend Theater in Springfield. More information can be found at SpringfieldSym.org.
