Visitors entering Dayton’s Oregon District near Smokin Bar-B-Que on Patetrson and 5th St. will now be greeted by a roughly 3,000 square-foot mural. The giant art piece is the work of Dayton artist Tiffany Clark. The mural was planned before the August mass shooting but it’s completion holds special meaning for some in the neighborhood. This week we spoke with Oregon District Business Association Treasurer Natalie Skiliter, who lives in the district and owns the Corner Kitchen, located on the districts eastern border.

County Fairs and harness racing go hand in hand. The two hundred year old sport has been dominated by men, but here in Ohio, a group of women are changing that. Today on County lines Renee Wilde goes trackside at the Darke County Fair with some women who are setting new standards for the racing industry.

This week Dayton Youth Radio returns with a brand new season of stories produced by Miami Valley teenagers. Today, we’ll hear from Jaya Jones, a student from Stivers School for the Arts. Here’s project coordinator Basim Blunt 

Across the country, there have been multiple deaths and hundreds more illnesses linked to e-cigarettes, or vaping products. Now, doctors and scientists are looking to pinpoint the cause. Side Effects Public Media’s Carter Barrett reports that public health officials are coordinating an effort to find out why people are getting sick.

He's hosted Sunday morning's WYSO Weekend since 2008 and produced several radio dramas and specials . In 2009 Jerry received the Best Feature award from Public Radio News Directors Inc., and was named the 2023 winner of the Ohio Associated Press Media Editors Best Anchor/News Host award. His current, heart-felt projects include the occasional series Bulletin Board Diaries, which focuses on local, old-school advertisers and small business owners. He has also returned as the co-host Alpha Rhythms.<br/>
