Wright-Patterson To Get New Commander

A new commander is taking over the 88th Air Base Wing at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in southwest Ohio.

Col. Bradley McDonald will replace Col. John Devillier (duh-VIL'-yay) as commander of the 88th Air Base Wing in a ceremony Tuesday at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force near Dayton.

McDonald previously was vice commander of the 10th Air Base Wing at the Air Force Academy in Colorado.

Devillier has served as 88th Air Base Wing commander since July 2014. He will become special assistant to the director of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for general officer matters at the Pentagon.

The 88th Air Base Wing employs more than 5,000 military, civilian and contractor employees and is the largest employer at the base, which has more than 27,000 employees.
