What's Great in Dayton: March 6 - 12, 2015

Tonight in downtown Dayton is First Friday…5 to 10 p.m.  Check out activities at downtown’s art galleries, local retailers, food specials  and shows.  On your Facebook check out First Friday: March Madness Edition

Two actresses play men and women struggling through the common rituals of modern life. With boundless humor, PARALLEL LIVES re-examines the ongoing quest to find parity and love in a contest handicapped by the capricious gods, or in this case, goddesses. Now through Sunday in the Mathile Theatre in the Schuster Center.

On Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM the Greater Dayton Rowing Association and the Downtown Dayton YMCA are sponsoring a "Get-Acquainted-with-Rowing" session. This is in the YMCA’s indoor pool. There will be a rowing shell in the water to try or you can start with a rowing machine at poolside.

And from 2 to 5 p.m. the Little Exchange Fine Gifts, located at 45 Park Avenue in Oakwood, will host their annual Bridal Event. They are featuring handcrafted Vietri Italian tableware and home décor products. All brides-to-be and anyone interested in Vietri pottery is encouraged to stop by.

On Sunday at 2:00pm, at the Old Court House, former Governor Bob Taft will present Lincoln's Second Inaugural Address. This program is sponsored by the Lincoln Society of Dayton and Dayton History. On your Facebook check out Lincoln Society of Dayton

And then at 3:00pm at the Neon, is a locally produced documentary film about seniors, softball and life. It is THE FALL LEAGUE.
