What's Great In Dayton: March 16 - 22, 2018

Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum
WYSO/Joshua Chenault

At the Yellow Cab Building there is a lineup of some of the region's best food trucks and The Night Market provides delicious spices, jams and produce, artisanal bathing products, handmade toys and decorations and countless other locally made goods. This is tonight, 5-10pm.

The eBird workshop helps everyone collect data which is being used to better understand climate change and its effects. Learn how to use eBird to start your "life list", plan trips, find a bird you haven't seen yet, or see what other people in your area are seeing! Bring your binoculars and learn how easy it is to enter data and start helping ornithologists! Saturday, 10am - noon.

Come shop for a cause at The Little Exchange and see all their new Spring merchandise. It will be a great day to get ideas to spruce up your home for the season, pick up gifts for Easter baskets, and to find a new handbag or scarf that you can't live without. Saturday, 10 - 3pm.

On Saturday Vick Mickunas hosts a special WYSO Book Nook Live event. He interviews Mark Bernstein, whose book Grand Eccentrics: Turning the Century: Dayton and the Inventing of America, was recently re-released. Books will be available for purchase and autographing. This is 2pm in the Dayton Metro Library - Main Branch.

If you've ever been in Woodland Cemetery you may have noticed that many of the monuments have the names of many of the streets in Dayton. In this program you will be introduced to the men and women whose streets have their name and how they contributed to the history of Dayton. This is Sunday at 2pm in Wright Memorial Public Library, in Oakwood.

Join the Dayton International Peace Museum and friends from the Interfaith Forum of Dayton to explore the "Golden Rule" from different faith perspectives and how this shared ideal brings us together across our many faiths. This is Sunday, 3 to 5pm.

Gotta go….
