Wright State programs could be cut, and more than 100 employees could be let go under the university's upcoming Fiscal Year 2018 budget proposal. School officials are expected to release details of the plan at a finance committee meeting May 19.

As many as 120 employees could be let go, Wright State officials say.

In a statement, officials said employees affected by layoffs will be notified the week of June 12. Displaced employees will also be invited to a career fair scheduled for June 27. The school is also offering employees job search coaching sessions and wellness workshops, and time to look for new jobs.

Wright State’s financial crisis has already resulted in previous layoffs and programming cuts. The school is set to overspend its budget this year by about $40 million.

The finance committee meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at 2455 Presidential Drive.
