Greene County Education-Related Levy Results

Greene County Career Center

Greene County voters have approved a 1.03-mill levy to fund a new vocational school program.

The $62 million 20-year bond levy would help fund construction of a new Greene County Career Center in Xenia.

The measure’s passage means homeowners with property worth $100,000 will pay an additional $36 a year.

Career center officials say the new facility would support the expansion of vocational training related to aviation and aerospace industry jobs.

The proposed site for the new center is located near Route 68 and Hwy 35 in Xenia.

Beavercreek School Levy

Beavercreek voters narrowly rejected a levy to pay for day-to-day school operations.

The five-year, 6.2 mil levy would have meant an additional nearly $217 per year for homeowners with property worth $100,000.

Officials have said without the additional funding they’ll be forced to make budget cuts.
