Best of the Book Nook: All We Had Was Each Other, by Don Wallis

Don Wallis had a deep appreciation for the value of communities. He was very involved in the community of Yellow Springs and he remained interested in his hometown community of Madison, Indiana. When he decided to work on this book he ultimately came away from the project with a deeper understanding of his birthplace. He learned a number of surprising things about it. Things he had never realized before.

Don was the long-time editor of the Yellow Springs News. I used to see him quite often in and around the village and he could always be counted on for a sparkling conversation. He was a wise and articulate man. Don died a number of years ago. As you listen to this interview you'll surely understand what a loss his passing was for the community he loved.
