"Light in the River" by David Lee Garrison
Regular listeners have probably heard David Lee Garrison reciting his poetry on WYSO. When the late Conrad Balliett hosted Conrad's Corner he would share David's poetry with listeners. Now David is one of the curators of the poetry that you hear on Conrad's Corner.
David stopped by the Book Nook to talk about his new collection. "Light in the River," and I was able to persuade him to read some of his poetry. Some of these poems made me chuckle. Others had me reflecting upon my own mortality. This is an impressive collection.
