Book Nook: Under Pressure by Robert Pobi

Vick Mickunas' 2020 interview with Robert Pobi

Robert Pobi joined me to discuss his second novel in a series that features the mysterious Lucas Page. Page once worked for the FBI. We are not sure why he doesn't work for the FBI any more but we do know that he had been living a quiet life with his family when a bomb was detonated at a museum in New York City. Over 700 people died in that explosion. After that the FBI contacted Lucas to ask him if he would be willing to help them out with their investigation.

Lucas has apparently suffered some serious injuries at some time in the past. We don't know what caused his injuries. He has lost a leg. And an arm. And an eye. He has prosthetic devices. He is also a genius and the FBI is counting on him to help them identify this insidious bomber before even more people die. In "Under Pressure" Robert Pobi has written quite a thriller.

The Book Nook on WYSO is presented by the Greene County Public Library with additional support from Washington-Centerville Public Library, Clark County Public Library, Dayton Metro Library, and Wright Memorial Public Library.
