What's Great in Dayton: February 28 - March 6, 2014

Think spring with the Miami Valley Gardening Conference!  This is Saturday and it is for Five Rivers MetroParks annual  kick-off to the spring gardening season. It is at Sinclair in the Ponitz Building.

Kenan Trevincevic will introduce The Bosnia List: A Memoir of War, Exile and Return. This memoir tells his incredible story of surviving the Bosnian war as an eleven-year-old child, eventually escaping to America, and later returning to his homeland to confront the past. This is Saturday, 1:00pm, at Books and Co. in the Greene
 

On Saturday, 20 local fighters will be taking part in Knockout Dayton. This is an amateur boxing event held in Memorial Hall that is a fundraiser for Dayton History.

A 2013 Downtown Dayton Partnership year end report is now available. It outlines a summary of activity in which we continued to see increased interest and investment downtown. Many people continued the national trend of looking back to their cities as great places to live, work, play and invest.
