The Greene County Jail, Is it Supporting Our Community?

The Greene County Jail, Is it Supporting Our Community?

The Greene County Coalition for Compassionate Justice will present a report entitled “The Greene County Jail, Is it Supporting Our Community?” virtually on Tuesday, October 5th at 7:00pm. Developed in collaboration with the PreTrial Justice Institute, research has included gathering data on the criminal justice system in Greene County, interviews with long term residents of the county and Community Conversations with various groups to hear stories of how people in the community have been impacted by the criminal justice system and what changes they would like to see. This information is particularly timely as the county is asking voters to decide this November on whether to increase taxes to fund a new jail.

Speakers:
Meghan Guevara, PreTrial Justice Institute
Greer Aeschbury, ACLU of Ohio
Bomani Moyenda
