Commissioner Darryl Fairchild, The MarketPlace Movement and the Healthy Family Market are
hosting a 2022 Family Mental Health & Wellness Day, in recognition of Mental Illness
Awareness Week.
This family friendly event will include activities such as yoga,
mindfulness, meditation, fitness, nutrition, music, panel discussions, presentations and more.
Discussion topics will include mental illness/disorder signs and symptoms, addiction, trauma,
grief and loss, and holistic health.
We are especially aware of the obstacles and struggles that minorities face in caring for their
mental health and so our presentations will highlight the support available in minority
communities.
