Pam Geisel’s art quilts are on display at the Yellow Springs Brewery Tap Room, 305 N. Walnut St. in Yellow Springs, OH, through Jan. 5, 2022, with an artist reception on Fri., Nov. 5 from 6- 8 pm. This collection features some of her brightest and most colorful art quilts including a few abstract fiber pieces and others inspired by nature including a collection of flowers. Because of her background in graphic design, her quilts often have a strong graphic quality, and she incorporates machine piecing, machine raw-edge fusible applique, and machine quilting including free motion quilting into her work. Her quilts are often embellished with hand quilting, couched yarn, and hand beading. She has made over 600 art quilts or framed fabric pieces including many commissioned works.
