There are Robots Among Us and you can learn about the exciting field of robotics from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturday. This is at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. Designed for children and adults of all ages it offers several hands-on opportunities for all to enjoy. There are examples of robotic toys, working robotics and more. Plus, a special guest appearance by R2-D2 is expected!
Explore the beauty of Glen Helen in winter as they discuss everything you wanted to know about climate and the geologic record. This is Saturday, 2 to 3:30pm at the Trailside Museum. Tickets required.
Plant a Seed and a Bird Will Grow. The first Winter Speakers Series Program will be held on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Tom Hissong, the education manager, will present a program on the fascinating relationships between native plants and birds and how often times one group could not exist without the other. Each year, Victoria Theatre Association partners with Shango: Center for the Study of African American Art and Culture, and Willis "Bing" Davis, exhibit curator and director of EbonNia Gallery, to display an exhibit of art by local African-American artists inside the Schuster Center. This year's exhibit provides the opportunity for 16 local African-American visual artists to share their insight, understanding, and appreciation of BLACK LIFE as subject MATTER. The reception and the formal presentation is Sunday at 2 pm at The Schuster.
