What's Great in Dayton: June 5 - 11, 2015
The Great Dayton Adventure Race is a fast-paced scavenger hunt in and around downtown Dayton, starting and ending at RiverScape MetroPark. You'll experience the city in a whole new way as you weave through downtown tonight during First Friday.
The Lift Your Leg Run & Walk for Strays event is set for tomorrow at Centerville High School. This is their annual event benefiting homeless pets in the Miami Valley. Each year, over 800 people and 300 dogs join together and raise money, run, and walk in support of animals in need.
The Little Miami River Kleeners' KLEEN SWEEP will be Saturday, from 8 to noon. It is a combined Little Miami River "canoes on the river" and "walking along the banks" cleanup.
Join Glen Helen Executive Director and ornithologist Nick Boutis on the trails as you look for breeding birds. All skill levels encouraged to attend. Learn about birding, share your knowledge, make new friends. Sunday, 8am, at the Trailside Museum.

Two-time Pulitzer Prize winner David McCullough will introduce his newest historical book The Wright Brothers on Monday, June 8, at 7pm at Kettering Middle School. He says, "What we ought to know about are the courage and the brilliant ingenuity of those two Americans, the Wright Brothers, and how they changed the world, how they changed history."
