A new poll ahead of next month's election finds growing opposition to an Ohio law limiting the bargaining rights of 350,000 public sector workers.
A Quinnipiac University Poll taken Oct. 17-23 found 57 percent of registered voters support repealing Senate Bill 5, compared with 32 percent who support the law Republican Gov. John Kasich signed in March. The margin opposing the law has almost doubled since Quinnipiac's Sept. 27 poll.
CLEVELAND (AP) - The U.S. Department of Transportation says it's ready to revive an application for a $1.5 million grant to study the leasing of the Ohio Turnpike.
The agency says it will allow use of federal money for such a study if the application gets adjusted. Washington approved an earlier grant but backed off and said the application must be tailored to the turnpike study.
The quest for the federal money has become part of a political issue over leasing the turnpike.
