The Springfield News Sun is reporting that Springfield Township voters have ousted longtime fiscal officer, Herb Greer, who has been under fire lately for bookkeeping errors.
Newcomer Mike Hively defeated Greer on Tuesday in unofficial results by a count of 52% to 48%. Pressure to unseat Greer began building in late September after township trustees learned he failed to pay the lease on the township's administrative building.
