A proposal that would allow Ohio businesses to make a "cure" offer when sued for unfairness or deception is headed to the governor's desk over the objections of Democrats.
The bill includes what's referred to as a "right to cure" provision backed by several business groups, including auto dealers. The Columbus Dispatch reports the Ohio House on Tuesday voted 56-35 to accept changes the Senate made to an earlier version of the bill. It now goes to Republican Gov. John Kasich, who's expected to sign it.
