Live on Kaleidoscope: David Obenour of Ghettoblaster Magazine

This Saturday, April 21st is Record Store Day around the world, and in the Miami Valley there are many Record Store Day activities that go beyond shopping.  At the helm of the celebrations is Ghettoblaster Magazine, run in part locally.  Ghettoblaster managing editor and co-publisher, David Obenour joins Kaleidoscope host Juliet Fromholt in the studio to talk about the magazine and its role in this year's festivities, which include a special showing of Empire Records at the Neon Movies.

Live on Kaleidoscope: The Almond Tree

What started off as a short video for his church turned into a feature length documentary project for Shane Pergrem.   Here Pergrem discusses the process of making The Almond Tree, his first feature film and where the process has taken him as an artist.  He's joined by longtime friend Ricky Terrell of Starving in the Belly of the Whale, who composed the soundtrack to the Almond Tree. Terrell talks about scoring the film and shares several live and recorded songs.
